Shou Mei (寿眉) – “longevity eyebrow” in English – is the most mature type of white tea, with a richer, earthier character. The tea, from the 2017 harvest, has since matured in disc form, gradually developing into a sweeter, fuller flavour.

Aged white teas, especially Shou Mei, undergo further oxidation under natural conditions – under controlled heat and humidity. This not only shapes the flavor, but also produces a drink that supports digestion and warms the body and soul, which is also beneficial according to Chinese medicine.

This 2017 white tea has already reached the stage described in the Chinese saying:

"Tea at 1 year old, medicine at 3 years old, treasure at 7 years old."
