Hohin & Shiboridashi

The hōhin and shiboridashi are lid-covered, handleless Japanese tea-making utensils, particularly recommended for delicate Japanese green teas – such as gyokuro, kabusecha, or premium sencha. Their smaller capacity and slower, more attentive use help bring out the tea's sweetness, umami, and silky texture. Our selection includes pieces personally chosen for you from Japanese artisans.

Teavolution story

In 2013, a couple of Taiwanese oolongs brought a big smile to our faces, starting us on the journey of tea.
Since then, we have roamed the growing regions, met the producers, and made friendships and had experiences.

For us, good tea is one whose history we know,
who made it, when and where, how it was grown and processed, and we can connect to this tea, the region where it was grown, and the people.
