KINTO – compact glass tea maker, 280 ml
A modern, sleek tool for those who seek the pure taste of traditional tea brewing, but want a simple, compact solution. The fine filter built into the lid (metal-free design) gives you a clean cup, so all you need is a pourer and a cup - or even a larger cup - and you're ready to make tea.
Why will you love me?
- Compact and user-friendly – easier to handle than a gaiwan, yet produces a clean, controlled extract.
- Versatile – suitable for green, white, oolong and red teas, as well as herbal infusions.
- Fine filtration – the dense insert holds the leaves well, even for Japanese teas.
- Travel-friendly – lightweight glass body, minimal space requirement; Balázs took this on his study trip to Japan (Shizuoka, Kagoshima), and it worked well on the plane.
Quick use
- Base: 4–5 g tea leaves / 280 ml water.
- Temperature and time (as a starting point): green 75–85 °C (1.5–2.5 minutes); white 85–90 °C (2–4 minutes); oolong/red 90–95 °C (3–5 minutes); herbal 95 °C (5–7 minutes).
- At the end of the steeping, lift out the filter (you can let it rest in the lid) and pour it into the cup/pourer.
Specification
- Capacity: 280 ml (useful volume).
- Materials: heat-resistant glass body; fine filter (metal-free) built into the lid.
- Usage: Ideal for 1-2 people.
Care and safety
- Cleaning: lukewarm water, mild detergent; soft sponge recommended.
- Do not use on direct flame or stovetop.
Note: Due to natural variations in photo and production batches, slight visual differences may occur.

Personal contact
Our teas don't come from wholesale warehouses or unknown sources. We travel to the small producers we source from – whether it's a Japanese family tea garden, a Chinese mountain village or an oolong maker in Taiwan.
Stories
We meet them in person, learn their story, see how they care for their plants, and how they process the fresh leaves.
These experiences are the soul of our teas. This way, not only is the quality guaranteed, but also the fact that behind each cup there is a real person, a real story.

Direct
This direct relationship is valuable to us. Not only because of the excellent tea, but because we believe that trust, respect and personal presence are what make the tea drinking experience truly special.
