Mi Xiang Oolong , or “honey oolong,” is one of Taiwan’s most beloved specialty teas. It gets its name from its naturally occurring, honey-like scent, which is not created by artificial flavoring, but by a special ecological process. Aphids (Jacobiasca formosana) that live in the tea garden nibble on the tender leaves, causing the plant to react by producing specific, fragrant compounds. This reaction gives the tea a uniquely sweet, floral, and fruity flavor.
It is moderately oxidized during processing (usually between 30–50%), thus retaining the natural lightness of oolongs while also adding the fullness of red teas. It is often packaged in rolled, spherical leaves and comes from the central or southern regions of Taiwan (e.g. Mingjian, Lugu).
This tea is particularly suitable for afternoon or evening relaxation , as it is soft, not overly stimulating, and leaves a pleasant, long-lasting aftertaste.
This is the tea we show almost everyone for the first time. The honey aroma oolong is a pleasantly sweet, extremely fruity and long-lasting tea. We met the tea producer, Minhan and his wife, at a tea exhibition. We have visited them several times, in their tea gardens on Meishan Mountain.

Personal contact
Our teas don't come from wholesale warehouses or unknown sources. We travel to the small producers we source from – whether it's a Japanese family tea garden, a Chinese mountain village or an oolong maker in Taiwan.
Stories
We meet them in person, learn their story, see how they care for their plants, and how they process the fresh leaves.
These experiences are the soul of our teas. This way, not only is the quality guaranteed, but also the fact that behind each cup there is a real person, a real story.

Direct
This direct relationship is valuable to us. Not only because of the excellent tea, but because we believe that trust, respect and personal presence are what make the tea drinking experience truly special.
