Jin Jun Mei, which translates to “Golden Beautiful Eyebrows,” is an exceptional quality Chinese black (red) tea that comes from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province.

This tea is made exclusively from early spring buds, which are carefully hand-picked and fully oxidized.

Flavor

The flavor profile of Jin Jun Mei is extremely rich and complex.
The first sips are dominated by sweet, fruity notes, complemented by delicate honey and floral aromas.
The golden brown, amber brew of the tea is impressive and eye-catching not only in its taste but also in its appearance.

History

Jin Jun Mei is a relatively new tea, developed in 2005 in Tongmu Village in the Wuyi Mountains. At the suggestion of a group of tea enthusiasts in Beijing, they began making the highest quality Zhengshan Xiaozhong black tea exclusively from buds. The tea quickly became popular and is now considered one of the most expensive varieties of Chinese black tea.

Preparation suggestion

When making Jin Jun Mei, it is worth following the steps below to achieve the best taste experience, but we encourage everyone to experiment.

Tea quantity : Use 4.5-5 grams of tea leaves for a 100-120 ml gaiwan.

Water temperature : It is ideal to use water at 85-90°C.

Steeping time : Do not rinse the tea the first time you brew it, as the first brew contains the most vitamins. Short steepings of just a few seconds are recommended.

Number of infusions : Jin Jun Mei can withstand multiple infusions, you can enjoy the changing flavors and beneficial effects of the tea up to 6-7 times.

When preparing, it is worth considering your personal preferences and adjusting the water temperature, steeping time and amount of tea accordingly. With the right technique, the rich and complex flavors of Jin Jun Mei will fully unfold, providing an unforgettable tea-drinking experience.
