Matcha tea powder

Our matcha teas
We bring matcha from two long-standing traditional matcha (抹茶) producing families from Uji and from a medium-sized organic tea company from Shizuoka - we visited each of them personally.
The leaves of this type of tea are ground into powder and mixed with water until frothy. (Other teas are made into decoctions and infusions, but the leaves remain in the pot.) The consumption of matcha has recently become very popular. However, it has a history of more than a thousand years and is closely related to the Japanese tea ceremony and Zen Buddhism.
Ceremony matcha shows us the essence of matcha. Powerful, creamy, juicy, long aftertaste. Fewer and fewer of these are made in Japan, because the so-called The "kitchen matcha" category is becoming increasingly popular. These, on the other hand, are mostly industrially processed and coarser ground. We don't even recommend consuming it by itself, only in the form of a "latte" or candy.
Powdered green tea is not matcha. Real matcha is ground specifically for this purpose, from specially processed tea leaves (tencha).

Due to its intense flavor - slightly reminiscent of toasted pumpkin seeds and spinach - it is a decisive and memorable moment when one tastes ceremonial matcha for the first time.
If it is of good quality, it is not bitter, but has a rich taste, full and "creamy", with a long aftertaste. High theanine and caffeine content. We say: he gives us the gift of calm alertness.
